      Server Files Updated   09/16/17

Published new server files today. No client update needed. There is no need to update your server files if you do not have any issues with your current setup. This fixes an issue where loot customization would not work. Also, some simulation issues were addressed. Nothing major in this mini patch.   http://www.exilemod.com/downloads/

  1. A common base raiding tactic is for an enemy to wait in ambush for you to open your door or gate and then to kill you. The enemy simply steps over your dead body and right thru the door you just unlocked. A good tactic is to build an "airlock". Simply put, an airlock it is a box shaped room with two walls and two doors that you must pass thru in order to enter your main base area. One door allows access from the outside into the airlock. The other door allows access from the airlock into the actual base. Building this will allow you to unlock door #1 and step inside the airlock. After stepping inside the airlock, turn and lock door number #1. You are now "secure". Next you will unlock door number two and then enter the actual base area. Having the airlock ensures that, even if you are ambushed, the enemy will not be able to get into your actual base area. A less expensive and less secure way to prevent an ambush is to use walls to build a maze that leads to your door. This requires more walls but will save you the cost of an extra lock. As mentioned earlier, building a wall behind a wall is always a good idea. Having a second wall will force an enemy to use another set of breaching charges to defeat your perimeter.
  2. After many "behind the wheel" deaths, I would like to suggest that a players corpse falls out of the vehicle when the vehicle is destroyed or that you are given the option to do something to make the inventory of the corpse available. Be it from a deadly AI rocket, mine, explosive charge, or simply ramming into a bicycle which happily spawned in the middle of a highway, we have all "crashed and burned". It is frustrating to return to your corpse only to find that you can not access the inventory of the corpse because it is slumped over the wheel of your burned out vehicle. You can see it.. you just can't get to it. Perhaps we can make it a scroll wheel option "eject corpse" or "recover remains", or "remove kebab" lol.
  3. After spending hours searching Factories, Industrial, and Vehicle Service areas for the elusive sledge hammer I begin to wish we could craft one. I do not know the specific recipe but it seems reasonable that it would be a combination of axes, metal pipe, scrap metal, grinder, fire and... I don't know... beer?
  4. MooseMilker.com

Looking for a place to start fresh? I recommend starting at moosemilker! Highly active server owner works diligently to ensure best experience for players. Extra high loot tables makes it possible to gear up, buy a vehicle, and start base building quickly. Extra spawn point over central trader makes recovery from deaths quick and reasonable. AI missions will get your heart pounding and add a boost of risk to any mission. Creepy Ryan Zombies will keep you on your toes! This server is a lot of fun!
