  1. Do you want to spawn weapons with attachments, but are annoyed by the trader attachment "dupe"? Well, you can paste this script in your init to work around it! What this script does is that it checks to see if the player's weapons (both primary and handgun) spawn with attachments by default. If it does detect that they have those attachments by default, then it will 1) Find a replacement by checking the parent classes of the weapon (which usually contain the "stock" weapon version, at least for vanilla ArmA 3 weapons. I haven't tried any modded weapons yet) 2) If a suitable replacement is found, it will then save the configuration of the weapon (which attachments it has, what magazine and how many bullets are in the mag). 3) Remove the original weapon, and add the replacement. 4) Re-add the attachments that were on the original weapon, including magazines, with the correct amount of bullet. The script will replace GL ammo as well, again with the correct # of rounds (if using a 3GL). 5) In the event that the replacement weapon got loaded with extra magazines from the player's inventory, then those magazines will also be re-added to the inventory (again, with correct # of rounds, even with a GL). The player shouldn't notice that anything has happened, and at most the script might disrupt an animation, and it might move a magazine or two around (I could ensure that the magazines are kept identical, but I think it's pretty minor and hardly worth the effort). Other than that, I can't guarantee that it will work on any modded weapons, that's for you to test out. INSTRUCTIONS: Paste the script directly in the mission file after line 8, where it says "if (!hasInterface || isServer) exitWith {};" will automatically add it to the Exile thread system on a 30 second delay. The delay can be adjusted at the top. Edit the "ExileServer_system_process_preInit.sqf" in the "exile_server\code\" folder: Comment out line 21: //call ExileServer_system_process_noobFilter; This script will work just as fine in any other mod, or even in vanilla (if you take out the Exile thread system part ) in case you have any use for that. Leave any questions/concerns/issues below!
  2. Hi there, Im having some issues whit my server. Im trying to get Malden to work and if got everything working just fine expect for the fact that i keep being kicked!   4. Hey Exile. I've got a request to take a look at, for the upcoming patch if its any possible.. The groups are messing up, out of nowhere.. it dosen't show some people & sometimes you can fix it, by the first player to join the group, to relog. Its getting to your head, and its been around for atleast half a year.

In the EBM folder find exileServer_object_construction_database_load.sqf and open it. you will see the following: copy this: then add it to your ExileServer_object_construction_database_load.sqf located in the exile server.pbo. It should look like this: You could also just copy and paste this. It would be easier. This has works in my server, if you must know.

  7. Hello! So, I am not experienced with big server setups like that of ArmA's (so don't expect me to be too computer-smart), but I have come a long way with setting up my ArmA 3 server until I got to my BEC setup. I've gone through everything the instructions say and everything should all be connected and working, but... I keep getting and error saying: BePath is not a valid directory Now, i know this should be a simple fix, but no matter what i do the error won't go away! I'm using TADST for my server setup, so I'm using the Battleye directory stored there. the path I put in the config.cfg for BEC is: C:\Users\andre\Desktop\Arma3_server_stuff\server_files\TADST\SirRapplez\BattlEye (yes I made sure I didn't have an accidental space put in anywhere... I'm not that stupid) I also put a BeServer.cfg file in the same directory as the BeServer.dll with the following: RConPassword password RConPort 2309 If anyone knows what my problem is, please help. I hope my question isn't super dumb, but I'm lost so, again, help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
  8. Hello Ladies & Gents! I only had one suggestion here. Since you can change the brightness and gamma (client side) on every server wich means you never need a nightvision, I think theres a fix for that. I noticed that Altis Life servers etc. have a really good prevention for it where players can't mess with the gamma and brightness options. Would'nt that be a good idea to implent that script into Exile? Then nightvision would be worth it, or/and you can start using flashlights/flares etc. Good to have you back devteam!!
  9. Just put together a quick tutorial to show you how I fixed my memory errors whilst loading. So as I was trying to load into the server the other night I had about 20-30 memory errors in a row and I was f~@$ing screwing! So I sought out a fix ! and here it is, this worked for me! it may or may not work for you but its worth a try
  10. Hello i've put my exile server to run with esseker, cup terrains core, and it doesnt not work. I've tried to make it work so many times now, i really need some help finding this problem.     After joining a server I encountered a blue screen (reason is known: heavy overclock) and after the crash I can't go on the very same server even after waiting for a lot longer than usual. Please help, I don't know what to do. Is it a simple fix? In the meantime I'll be reinstalling Exile and the server addons. Thanks for your time. CPU: i7 6700k, GPU: 980ti, RAM: 16GM

    Since the first day of me being a bambi noob in exile i have noticed that i cannot see the full health, thirst, hunger and zeroing. I find it very annoying when in combat or sniping, or when i need to eat but i dont know howmuch hunger i have. I have tryd changing resolution, and other stuff but nothing has worked and google did not help me.   14. If you are a player and you server having these issues contact your administrator to check this post. If you are server administrator/owner please read bellow. "You are not in your territory" building problems. Mostlikely you forgot to update your mission config.cpp file It should contain this: Lootspawn - mostlikely you forgot to update your exile_server_config / config.cpp It should contain this: if not you forgot to update your configs. This topic is for people to realize that they made a mistake somewhere and give them a headstart. If you dont declare some variable in these settings it will break your server and you will see problems depending on what you missed in your settings. Also if you use some outdated fixes from old patch you can have the same/similar problems.
  15. So i've made a new Exile Server which is running on a customized Altis map which was converted to Esseker. Before I added more mods to the server, vehicles were spawning around the map as usual. Now after I added all the mods and everything works, but now no vehicles spawn on the map, the only vehicles that spawn on the map are Old Bikes, and Mountain Bikes and those only spawn around the spawn zones. I'm not sure where to look or even start looking to fix the problem. Cars spawn with my AI Missions though, just not sure why they won't spawn on the map anymore. The mods I am using are:AllInArmaTerrainPack, Esseker, Exile, ExileServer, InfiSTAR_Exile, RyanZombies, Defents Mission System and R3F Logistics. All are up to date and installed correctly.
  16. Hello everyone, Since day 1 I begin playing exile there was a problem with the numbers on my HUD. They simply just don't show the hole number. For exemple: When you adjust the zeroing of your weapon it should show a number like 300 in the HUD, right ? Mine just show 00. He cuts the first number. this happen with altitude when flying and thirsty too... This pic should explain it better. I have tried everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work, anybody have a solution to this ? its getting kind of annoying. Thanks for the help ^^ Sorry for my bad english, I'm brazillian.
  17. Wasn't sure where else to put this guys, anyways I found the reason random spawn positions weren't working inside the spawn position markers. Line 18 of Exileserver_object_player_createBambi.sqf needs to be changed to _spawnAreaRadius = getNumber(configFile >> "CfgSettings" >> "BambiSettings" >> "spawnZoneRadius");Hopefully this will make it into the next server file update, also wasn't really sure where else to put bug fixes.
  18. Have you had a player get kicked while riding in a helicopter, only to spawn falling to his death? Or maybe the server crashed, and the player was in a heli. In any case, it ends the same way: "ADMIN, I spawned in the air and fell to my death". The easy "fix" would be to spawn everybody at ground level, but there are several "Side Effects" to that. As a result, I edited "ExileServer_object_player_database_load" so that players will always spawn on the highest solid surface on login. That can be the ground, a building, or a base. No more falling to your death. How to install: Replace "exile_server\code\ExileServer_object_player_database_load.sqf" with this pastebin or copy from the following spoiler:
  19. Sometimes you can't sell an item in the trader dialog, its not dependent on the item but its slot position and that position can be random also. I could be wrong as i've just started scripting ("though not stranger to programming") but I assume you wanted to set the index value to saleprice rather than set index reference by saleprice as -1;
