Alignment system (Hero/Bandit)

Subject: Alignment system (Hero/Bandit) - Some MOD / survival game needs to do this well... It is essential for a real survival game.

Reason: Encouragement system to work together, or get consequences as you would in real life around murdering people and destroying their stuff.

Hero Alignment increases for good deeds:

  • Give money
  • Kill bandits
  • Give supplies *Need to add feature for this one* - open backpack and directly plant supplies in inventory
    • must prevent this in trader

Bandit Alignment decreases on bad deeds:

  • Killing a player, unless that player is a bandit
  • Steal supplies *Need to add feature for this one* - open backpack and directly remove supplies from inventory
    • must prevent this in trader
  • Destroying another player's vehicle, aircraft, and/or base

Hero alignment rewards:

  • Can run faster than neutral aligned characters and most of all bandits
  • Some slight glow aura around character (nothing too foofy, just some way to distinguish as a good person)
  • Can carry more weight
  • If shot and visually shaking, give option to power through it and shaking effects stop

Bandit alignment penalties:

  • Develop random chemical dependency habit - must find alcohol / marijuana / heroin / drugs to stabilize
  • Some dark aura around character
  • Makes random burst of noises that tell others they are a bandit / gives away position
  • Wobbly vision
  • Later stages:
    • Limps
    • Shakes without drug fixes

Other ideas & supporting information:

  • Add your bounty system, so players can pay money/respect to other players for killing bandits that kill them
  • Bandits can see a psychiatrist to clear current bandit level - say $100,000 or 50,000 respect clears whatever level they are at back to neutral
  • Penalty levels or Reward levels persist through deaths

There are more ideas to expand upon this, but this is the bare minimum for a real functional alignment system.

Don't agree with boosting heroes and downgrading bandits in fights. On the other hand i would change that to don't let bandits to trade in safe zones but only in black markets.

Give money to other player make hero?

Player A give  10k to player B ==> Player A get Hero Statut
Player B give back 10k to Player A ==> Player B get Hero Statut

Unless they don't have brain, they will all be Hero !

I feel like this is just a copy of something that was used in games before Exile. Why would we copy this completely? Do you really want to get the old game-play back?

Here's one, they probably haven't heard when suggesting these things. 

Make it yourself, there is plenty of options and Exile is not that complicated to work with, otherwise you can ask, but it would be possible to script this, but I wouldn't dedicate my time for it, don't want Exile to remind me too much of previous games, and/or Epoch. B|

Maybe make it cost respect to visit the Hero/Bandit or Blackmarket traders.

and maybe add the respect per level system that u get better uniforms after u reach an amount of respect ... u know alot of servers did that already and it would be cool if u could add some starter clothing uniforms like the bambi one ...
