Black Screen After Update - Gaming Deluxe

Question

Hi All,

Does anyone else use Gaming Deluxe as a provider, and just getting a black screen ?

I've been stuck on it since last night, and I've narrowed it down to the game not being able to access the database. I've confirmed all the details, and tried to do a fresh install, neither have helped.

Anyone us GD and figured out how to get it to work?

Paul

Hi Paul I Had the same issue lastnight myself, I fixed it by removing exile.ini from @ExileServer\extDB\sql_custom_v2\ and replacing it with the new one provided in the update .

Hope this helps

Hmm, I didn't replace the file, but I did update the contents of it.

Just tried that, didn't help either. My actual logs are showing:

11:02:45 "ExileServer - Server is loading..."
11:02:45 Wrong init state
11:02:45 Client: Nonnetwork object 2918f700.
11:02:45 "ExileServer - MySQL connection error!"
11:02:45 "ExileServer - Please have a look at @ExileServer/extDB/logs/ to find out what went wrong."
11:02:45 "ExileServer - MySQL Error: Unable to locate extDB2 extension!"
11:02:45 "ExileServer - Server will shutdown now :("
11:02:45 "Arma3/BIS_fnc_log: [preInit] ExileServer_fnc_preInit (53.0014 ms)"

I can't access any DB logs from what I can tell to look in them though :(

If you run it as @extdb then update folders with new ones as IrishDevell has stated above.

If you run extdb not as a mod change (update) that folder. Sql_custom_v2 has to have update exile.ini file to fix database.

Tried deleting and recreating the whole folder, and that didn't help it. Updated the ini file, that didn't help.

We've logged it with GD now, so we'll see what they say

Ours wasn't fixed as stated above. Ours was caused by old C++ Redists or something like that. Server was updated and now working ok
