@Kappa Slappa limitations of arma (for now)

Arma 3 has factions, if you are in the same faction it's considered friendly fire.

So we as players are all independent. It has to be this way so we can have ai and or zeds etc, which use east or west. There currently are not enough factions for us to have it how we want...... ;)

Ahhh I see I see, cheer mate.

is there a alternative way, e.g yesterday I turned off kill message in the server config but still came up "blah blah was kill by blah blah [Freindly fire]"

I'm still getting the hang of all this btw aha

Kill messages that you turned off are the expanded kill stuff for exile.

The arma kill message which is what you are seeing is part of the difficulty setting.

Exile has two difficulties currently. ExileRegular and ExileHardcore,  I believe the later has the arma kill msg setting off, but also off is 3rd person view. So no real alternative for you right now.

You're killing another member of "independent", Arma is right... It is friendly fire.

Can't disable it though :(

It will always be friendly fire if it's the same faction killing same faction.
