Adapt difficulties ExileRegular & ExileHardcore

6 posts in this topic

Hi,

I have 2 questions, maybe somebody can help me out.
* Can somebody point me to the location where "ExileRegular" is defined? I want to know what settings are default.

* Right now I use the client_override.pbo from here and put it into the server/addon folder.

(http://84.200.44.162/client_override.pbo)

Is this still the way to go to override the default settings for ExileRegular and is the format in the pbo still "valid"?
Since I use this you have to wait a few seconds after joining the game until you can move.
I want to get rid of the crosshair.

If somebody is interested in a similar setup, to force the player to first person I use a slightly adapted version of this:

https://github.com/midgetgrimm/ExileMod-1P-3P-CameraSwitchMonitor

So 1st person while combat mode but still 3rd person for base building and car / crate pickup with a chopper in non combat mode.

Thx for your help
MrD

Just find your servers ------ ServerConfig.Arma3Profile --- NOTE: it could be named lots of things ending in .Arma3Profile... but in the folder where your config.cfg and basic.cfg folder is there will be a Users folder, inside that is another folder or possibly a few that are different users of that server. In my case its user ServerConfig - THUS the name. And inside that folder is the profile file!

inside that if you modify with a notepad editor you can define regular/hardcore settings to your hearts desire! :)

Hi,

jeeee ... Mr ExileRevive himself ... Thx for your work _in your freetime_ I guess .. I am a busy IT guy and appreciate what you are doing!

So I ended up adding this to config/users/config.arma3profile, there are the default arma3 settings like regular, veteran, mercenary

    class ExileRegular
    {
        class Flags
        {
            Armor=0;
            DeathMessages=0;
            ExtendetInfoType=0;
            HUD=1;
            HUDGroupInfo=0;
            Map=0;
            NetStats=0;
            stanceIndicator=0;
            VonID=1;
            staminaBar=0;
            HUDWp=1;
            3rdPersonView=1;
            autoAim=0;

            autoTrimEnabled=0;
            CameraShake=1;
            ClockIndicator=0;
            EnemyTag=0;
            FriendlyTag=0;
            HUDPerm=0;
            HUDWpPerm=0;
            MineTag=0;
            roughLanding=0;
            stressDamageEnabled=0;
            UnlimitedSaves=0;
            windEnabled=1;

            AutoGuideAT=0;
            AutoSpot=1;
            WeaponCursor=0;

            UltraAI=0;
        };
        skillFriendly=0.6;
        skillEnemy=0.6;
        precisionFriendly=0.28;
        precisionEnemy=0.28;
    };

Ita an adaption of the regular from my provider g-portal, I merged both to the config above.

In der server.cfg there is

class Missions {
	class ARMA {
		template = "Exile.Namalsk";
		difficulty = "ExileRegular";
	};
};

But I still have a crosshair. :-(

I did try to change veteran to my needs in the past since veteran is a default from my provider but no luck. So I added the pbo which works but has this ugly delay until you can move.

Somebody has a hint for me?

MrD

Hi,

I did a complete reinstall and the client_override.pbo from above does work now without waiting some seconds until u can move _and_ crosshair is gone :rock:
If i discover it again and can find a reason I'll come back.
