Exile commercial rules?

Question

What are your policies concerning donations and monetization on servers? Is it possible to read them somewhere?

Also, BIS monetization rules include a total restriction for ingame money sales. However, BIS do not offer ingame money functionality themselves, ingame money system belongs to the mod. What are your policies concerning  the right of BIS to regulate that?

I do not start a discussion on whether it is good or bad selling poptabs (it is bad actually), but is it the thing that should be under control of those not developing it?

Donation is a voluntary gift without any counter-value. You do not offer any perks or rewards for such donations and players do not expect anything back. This is allowed and does not require our approval.

Monetization happens when players, unlike with donations, receive some kind of reward or perk for their money. This requires our approval. Some examples of allowed rewards are perks which do not affect gameplay, e.g. custom textures, skins, forum badges, reserved slots, product placement, in-game advertising and sponsorship. You can also sell in-game items which do not affect gameplay in any way (e.g. special hats, designed shirts with logos, etc.) – generally everything cosmetic is allowed.

On the other hand, perks and rewards such as providing in-game money, weapons, ammo, vehicles, discounts, vehicle spawns, housing and any other gameplay affecting features are not allowed and will not be approved.

These are the rules of BIS you quoted. However the question was about the rules and policies of Exile as well as about the legitimacy of BIS ruling other people's creation

You can ignore the BIS monetization rules if you are happy for them to switch off Battleye on your server and depending on where you live/host your server be chased with legal action. Personally I don't think it's not worth the trouble to fight them, just offer non game changing perks or no perks.

Go apply for monetization and find out, since it's requred to even accept donations for even the little reserved slot.

According to Bis lawyers if you are attempting to accept donations and give Donator anything in game you must be monetized approved in order to accept that donation.

Not only do you have to have the BIS Approval, but also approval from every Mod's Author you host before accepting these donations and/or getting approved.

As said above.

And for mods you're planning to use, you may have to read their license, for example RHS (Red Hammer Studios) doesn't allow any kind of monetization at all, whereas some others may allow an aspect of it. :)

Thank you guys. I was wondering exactly what does Exile write in thier license agreement if any. I would like to find out whether Exile has a document with their policies on monetization where their views would be expressed clearly.
