Convert 3DEN .sqm to old sqm format

7 posts in this topic

Hey all!

So the new 3DEN .sqm is a completely different style than the old and I am still using the old style.

So I was having a hardtime converting things over intill I found this handy dandy function that I thought other people might have use for as well!

If you want to use the old .sqm format still when doing edits than open up your debug console and type

[] call BIS_fnc_3DENExportOldSQM;

This will paste it onto your clipboard! :)

Unless there is a easier way,

This helped me out!

This is for adding stuff to the mission.sqm

I already know about M3Editor but I have certain things in my mission.sqm

You could also do this:

When you are saving the mission, underneath the File Name box there is a little check box that says "Binarize The Scenario File". Just uncheck that box and you'll be all set!

There is a big difference between the 3DEN .sqm layout and the 2D .sqm layout

The problem is merging doesn't always work and my mission.sqm is completed in the 2D style.

So this helps out alot when doing edits to it :)
