A request to the admins

It would be great and less confusing if admins stopped advertising their servers as hardcore when they have 3rd person active. HC or hardcore is the usual term used for 1st person only servers that have at least veteran without 3rd person or mercenary/elite settings.

Admins can write into their server names whatever they want. So you cant be sure to get what you read :)

Most admins / server owners write it in the tilte of their server or it can be readed in the "old" server browers just by hoovering over the servername, The "New" server browser is screwed and doesnt even show the mission difficulty ( nor mods ) decent.

Do your due diligence, research the server a little bit. MOST servers have a post here on the forums.

not every1 will google the servers name or check forums, simply cuz they don't want to and when you do some info is even  out of date.

This is another symptom of unprincipled admins and the way they are currently devaluing the Exile brand.  Exile Dev's have written some of the nicest code in the Armaverse.  Shame it's serving the interests of so many unscrupulous people.

HC is also a term for Headless Client!

Also we  run a Hardcore PVE server. Was running 3rd person, when we switched over to 1st person our player count dropped to about "2". seems players don't like it... We use the term "hardcore" as our Ai roaming, Missions and  Stronghold are set very high. It's a challenge to reach the stronghold without your teammates. Many server Owners/Admins use this term for this reason. surely it's not just about 1st person but how the server is set up?

Well it's funny it works on other servers / modes / mods. Seems those communities know when to write HC or hardcore and sometimes 1P into the server name.

Or you could just use "hard ai" instead.

With the wasteland and ktoh servers everyone could be sure that when a server showed hardcore or hc in the name it was 1p only. A lot of admins don't even understand how to set up a server properly and misuse the term to attract players. Some like you misunderstood what it actually means to some. I have seen hardcore servers where you had tons of loot every few meters and helicopters attacking you once you set a foor outside the safezones...that was their understanding of hardcore.

It's funny how players are attracted to "hardcore" but when it come to true hardcore experience playing with 1p they have their tails between the legs.

Would be great if the devs would tell what terms to use or some sort or order in how to name a server filter friendly so players can find the servers they want.
