Set your server to the Veteran config in the @ExileServer folder, at the bottom of the Config.cfg file.

I'd never noticed you can change it there too, does that override the serverside settings in @ExileServer/config.cfg then?

It should yes, but by saying config.cfg which settings in there are you referring to?

These ones:

class Missions
{
	class Exile
	{
		//template = Exile.Altis;  // Exile.Namalsk
		template = Exile.Namalsk
		difficulty = "ExileRegular"; // ExileRegular or ExileHardcore
	};
};

I always assumed by changing those between Recruit, Regular, and Veteran, it would have the same effect (at least it did on my DayZ Mod server back in the day)?

These are difficulty settings, the showHUD is just cosmetic settings, these 2 basically doesn't have anything to do with eachother, it depends on the settings for each difficulty though. (Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.)

But easy fix is just the showHUD in description.ext

Yeah, that's what I thought, I just assumed because Veteran removes the crosshair it was also a viable way to do it but I'll use the showHUD in description.ext from now on, much easier. :)
