Well, I'm no guru when it comes to MySQL, but just for the sake of troubleshooting.

1. Have you made sure MySQL is not running in strict mode?

2. Have you made sure to sequentially update your database to 0.9.6?

Hi and thank you for your reply. I have checked the mysql ini and made sure to remove the strict mode as per the Guide  for  0.96 pomelo. and I  selected the new exile.sql and updated it  also. Any other suggestions?  Also I am a nube at this but I followed directions on the guide . I also have this error in mysql workbench 16:47:06    ALTER TABLE container ADD `abandoned` DATETIME DEFAULT NULL    Error Code: 1060. Duplicate column name 'abandoned'    0.000 sec

when you made your schema, did you make sure to run

exile.sql

then

upgrade-0.9.40-to-0.9.41.sql

then

upgrade-0.9.41-to-0.9.6.sql

in that order?

It can be a pain to get it to update properly. I would delete you schema and start from the exile.sql. Make sure double click the exile schema each time you go to run an sql query.

If that doesn't help then check your extdb-conf.ini inside @ExileServer and make sure your name (schema name), username, and password are correct to the ones you have set in your mysql instance/database.

Hope this helps since this is all I would know to do.

I remember something about the error in workbench, and I think i got it no matter what. When you only got the workbench error, did you try to join the server? Or did you have the error in the extDB log every time?
