Question

Since the latest arma update I have noticed a few issues with my rcon and BEC.

They seem to timeout and disconnect alot and was wondering if anyone else may have noticed this?

BEC is doing the same thing and just stops reconnecting.

BEC is doing the same thing and just stops reconnecting.

I had the same issue.

To fix this I totally stopped using BEC. I use a script that runs to provide the client side messages to the clients as they log in.

Then for restarts, I used Infistar for the shutdown timer, and Exile's code to deliver the #shutdown command to the server.

In my start.bat I just use a /wait and a :loop to restart the server. I wish I had done this YEARS ago even back to Arma 2.

If you want more details, just let me know.

Josh

"Starting with Arma 3 1.58 all server admins will have to define a dedicated port in BEServer.cfg in order to be able to use BE RCon. Please see https://www.battleye.com/support/documentation/ for details."

I couldn't get any RCon to work until I saw that. Now they all do. So just set up your BEServer.cfg like this:

RConPassword *Password
RConPort *Port #
RConIP *Server IP
MaxPing 600

It says to set the Port # to something other than the port the server is running on. I use 2303. I'm not sure if it was related but Arma 3 crashed twice with an access violation error until I did. Now everything works fine.

Hope this works for you.
