Remove NVG's and Facemask from Spec Ops trader

I'm trying to take the NVG's and face mask off of the Spec Ops trader but I can't seem to do it. I've put this in my spec ops trader config:

_trader setVariable ["ExileTraderType", "Exile_Trader_SpecialOperations"];

removeHeadgear _trader;
_trader removeItem "NVGoggles";
_trader removeItem "NVGoggles_INDEP";
_trader removeItem "NVGoggles_OPFOR";

Yet he still spawns with a facemask and NVG's. I put all three NVG's in there because I was unsure which one he wears. Any suggestions?

Those are Arma 3 variables that are supposed to work. I use similar variables to add things to traders, like new uniforms and weapons.

For example, from my community trader I had on Namalsk:

Would it be easier to just remove the trader all together and create a new one, then place it in place of the one your removed?

Go into your mission<map>.pbo then scroll down until you see trader lists then remove them from that then continue to scroll down and you will find the item class name remove that. Done.

Sorry scrap that. Just noticed you wanted to remove it from a specific trarder not from all.
