Database values are mysterious

Question

In the Construction table in the Exile database, object positions and directions are saved in the following columns:

position x, position y, position z, direction x, direction y, direction z

All of the position columns appear to use regular map coordinates (ATL) but the values in the direction columns are between -1 and 1 and I can't decipher this numbering system.  Is there a way to convert the direction column values to degrees?

This is a normalized direction vector :) "Normalized" means that the absolute sum of the components (magnitude) is 1, so you can easily use them for multiplication for example.

Yes, you can convert this into degrees or radiants, but with possible loss of precision.
