Taru Pods

5 posts in this topic

Hey Guys

I know that you can spawn Arma 3 Taru pods, but they seem to be a bit hit and miss in the latest few updates (exile or arma, i'm not sure).

So, do you think that going forward, we could have an exile_tarupod_* added as well? The pods are useful, and I dont just mean the cargo pod with it's 10k of storage. We use the bench pod as well for all moving to do missions together (where there are more than 3 of us) and the fuel pod to refuel our vehicles at our base.

I think it would be awesome if they could be added (owners can always remove them from the shop if they dont want to sell them), and would have the 'Load' interaction as default when the taru is over it or has it roped.

Thanks for reading

Paul

I have not tried but could you not just add the pods to the traders?

In the prices section:

    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // Taru Pods
    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_covered_F          { quality = 2; price = 10000; };
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_fuel_F             { quality = 2; price = 10000; };
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_box_F              { quality = 2; price = 25000; };
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_repair_F           { quality = 2; price = 10000; };
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_medevac_F          { quality = 2; price = 10000; };
	class Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_bench_F            { quality = 2; price = 10000; };
//	class B_Slingload_01_Cargo_F						{ quality = 2; price = 10000; };
//  class B_Slingload_01_Fuel_F							{ quality = 2; price = 10000; };
//  class B_Slingload_01_Ammo_F							{ quality = 2; price = 10000; };
//	class B_Slingload_01_Medevac_F						{ quality = 2; price = 10000; };
//  class B_Slingload_01_Repair_F						{ quality = 2; price = 10000; };

In the trader section:

class CfgTraderCategories
{
	class Community
	{
		name = "Community Items";
		icon = "a3\ui_f\data\gui\Rsc\RscDisplayArsenal\uniform_ca.paa";
		items[] =
		{
			// Air Vehicles
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_covered_F",
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_fuel_F",
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_box_F",
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_repair_F",
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_medevac_F",
//			"Land_Pod_Heli_Transport_04_bench_F",
			"B_Heli_Transport_01_F",
			"B_Heli_Transport_01_camo_F",
			"B_Heli_Light_01_armed_F",
			"I_Heli_light_03_F"
		};
	};

Then in the trader:

	class Exile_Trader_Aircraft
	{
		name = "AIRCRAFT";
		showWeaponFilter = 0;
		categories[] =
		{
			"Choppers",
			"Planes",
			"Community"
		};
	};

You obviously need to un-comment them as appropriate. I took ours out again as they do not seem to work correctly any more.

Hope that helps!
Paul

No worries.

You cant get into the inventory of some of them (the cargo pod mainly on this issue), and you can't lock all of them (even using custom action 1)
