Unable to create character uid

Question

I was on a server last night. I was wounded to near death but didnt actually die. I moved to an area and aborted to lobby. About 5 minutes later i logged back in only to see that the game thought i was dead. When i tried to respawn though it gave me an error saying unable to create character uid. I aborted to lobby, came back in to the same thing. Character is ragdoll, no access to chat, hunger and thirst still work, and everytime i try to respawn it just creates another ragdoll of the character in the same spot. I cant respawn, or create a new character. Im in limbo. What can i do?

Sounds like its a server issue. The admin might have to delete your character data from the DB to essentially reset your character. However you can try creating a new profile and see if that might fix your issue

Yeah i tried switching profiles but it uses the same uid which creates a ragdoll in the same area

You can try and have an admin attempt to do the following only if they have infistar installed:

The admin will have to enter a vehicle and use the move target into vehicle option. So he would select you and essentially make you join his vehicle. I believe I had this issue with one of my players on our server and this seemed to work out for him. If not then I suggest the DB deletion of your character

you need to get them to delete your player data on the server, then you log in as it was the first time you log on the server, prob solved

This is only a temporary fix though, if it keeps happening we keep having to delete players of the DB. Spending more time in the DB than in game.

Is it related error to infiSTAR?

It is happening quite often since the Kiwi update, never had it happen to me before that.

About 3/5 every time i die and try to re-spawn i get this error.

So i have experimented with killing myself trying to replicate the error, this is all i could find in my logs when i died and count not respawn "Character request timed out"

Having this issue too, since Potato update.

What's weird, is that not always do players spawn in dead. Once that happens, it's a loop, and they can no longer connect (alive).
Sometimes, they spawn in, and have a duplicate of themselves (a doppelganger) following them around.

Q) How do I delete the player from the database as suggested earlier by someone?
When in the DB (phpmyadmin), I see:

New, Account, Clan, Clan Map Marker, Construction, Container, Player, Player History, Territory, Vehicle.

I guess, go to Player, and delete any duplicate players, with damage 1. I'll have to wait and see until they try connecting again,
to know if it worked. :D

Final Result: Deleting the player with damage 1, from the db worked. As far as "quick fix". Not sure why it
keeps happening though. It was suggested by the GSP that the db maybe isn't updating fast enough; like after
a player dies.
