Moving Radiation Zone Problems.

9 posts in this topic

Hi,

I was reading around that to move the Radiation zone all you gotta do now is change the coords on the mission.sqm file.

So after I put this:

 class Item34
        {
            position[]={7562.91,214,5149.56};
            name="ContaminatedZoneMogilevka";
            text="Contaminated Zone";
            markerType="ELLIPSE";
            type="ExileContaminatedZone";
            colorName="ColorBlack";
            fillName="Border";
            a=400;
            b=400;
            drawBorder=1;
            alpha = 0;
        };
        class Item35
        {
            position[]={7562.91,214,5149.56};
            name="ContaminatedZoneMogilevkaIcon";
            text="";
            type="ExileContaminatedZoneIcon";
        };
    };

The marker is there, but no radiation effects or loot are spawning.

Any ideas??

I got that position from the Eden Editor.

And if anyone can help me out, I obviously want to move it to Mogilevka.

Any tips or anything I am missing?

mission.sqm

Just put a minus in two class Item

 class Item41
        {
            dataType = "Marker";
            position[] = {-2901.51, 0, -12333.8};
            name = "ExileMarker41";
            text = "";
            markerType = "ELLIPSE";
            type = "ExileContaminatedZone";
            colorName = "ColorBlack";
            fillName = "Border";
            a = 1600;
            b = 1600;
            drawBorder = 1;
            id = 141;
            atlOffset = 0;
        };
        class Item42
        {
            dataType = "Marker";
            position[] = {-2901.51, 0, -12333.8};
            name = "ExileMarker42";
            text = "";
            type = "ExileContaminatedZoneIcon";
            id = 142;
            atlOffset = 0;
        };

Ok thanks, I'll test it out.

Just to confirm, the only thing i have to change is the mission.sqm correct? Nothing else?

On the fly here, but notice this:

-> your changes to mission.sqm changes only the radiation MARKER, not the radiation position or the radiation radius itself;

If you want to disable radiation, change its position, or its radius, you must go to missionfile's >>> config.cpp <<< and change settings in this:

        class Radiation
        {
            // 1 = enabled, 0 = disabled
            enable = 1;

            contaminatedZones[] =
            {
                {{21845.1, 20977.6, 30}, 350, 400}    // Ghost Hotel
            };
        };

So in resume,

- you remove the ('contaminated' icon and circle) in >>> mission.sqm

- you remove/move the contamination itself in >>> config.cpp !

Cheers,
