Exile 1.0.1 Chernarus Map

I'm running Exile 1.0.1 Chernarus server.
The map, was preinstalled by our GSP. However, lately realized it's old; mission file, etc.

I've added custom traders and revamped the spawns (not just along the coast now).

Was wondering, what others running Chernarus are doing.

I noticed a script that replaces many of the buildings in Chernarus with ones that are enterable.

Only problem, is that after a month or so on current map many players have built bases, and I don't
want the building replacements to mess anyone up.

Any suggestions?

well what I did was take the exile.altis you get from downloading any version of exile since the most reliable download will be from exile team themselves then went in to the mission.sqm addons and added cup, then just changed the .altis to .chernarus and automatically became a chernarus mission file, albeit with altis coordinates but thats just a quick switch to where you want your coordinates to be.

 

as for building replacement script I have not used it myself yet nor will I ever since I just add more detailed lootable buildings instead of adding out of place altis buildings so I can't really help you there, the mission file is seperate from the building objects players put down thus you can easily modify one of the 1.0.1 supported maps to be a current setup of chernarus if that was a question aswell, and as long as players have not built around non enterable buildings you select to switch out (around them ontop of them w.e) I really dont see a problem

Thanks Mike! I have added my own content in the past , using a3_custom. And it works very well.
Now I just have to find step by step instructions on adding loot to buildings I put in. Plus maybe add
loot to existing buildings where nothing spawns. If you know where there are such detailed instructions,
please post a link. As easy as people have said it is to do with the exile plugin for eden, I can't seem to
wrap my little brain around it. :)

this is what i use he has done a really good job simple to use and import to your servers exile_server_config,

this will also work with smaller objects aswell not just "buildings" I made it so you can crawl under the rusty fuel containers on chernarus to find loot for example, although not all smaller objects will register, the backyard walls in cherno dont work, but the walls that are broken you can run through do, for example

I'm embarrassed to say, I looked at that last week. I subscribed to it, added it the list of mods when I launch ARMA3, then I go into the editor,
But, I can't find any trace of it in the editor. For example, if I load M3Editor, I see it in the editor menu, if I load Exile Plugin for Eden, I see it in the menu
in the editor. But, when I load this loot creator, I can't find it in the editor. :$

tl;dr you need to play the mission as a unit for it to be used if you havent tried that

when I load it with arma 3 regular launcher exile and cup core / terrain for my map i go to the editor and once i place a unit and click play i get the orb where my crosshairs are you can bring it closer or move it farther out, and when you aim at an object it will prompt you to initiate on the object and you can click 1-5 for various options to place loot and export to your arma 3 root folder

Steps I took:
Initiated building (supermarket in my case) (press 1)
Placed loot spawns where I wanted them. (press 2)
*Auto generated building. (press 3)
*Does this now work for everywhere that building is on the map?
Compiled building (press 4)
Created the file;clipboard in my case. (press 5)

I see the code, do i know put that into my CfgBuildings.hpp?

Not sure why it's different. Maybe that would explain why some of the buildings don't spawn loot.

yea i ran into that problem before, for some reason it doesnt add the table to the buildings themselves, but at the top of the file it has all the vanilla loot tables, which you can copy paste and remove the :whatever

if you have custom loot tables you will need to type them in manually the plugin wont know what your custom tables are

Hey guys, just to add to the conversation in case someone else wants the info. I use the building replacement script but I started the server with this script running in it. I would not recommend putting it on a server that already has player bases in it unless you want to scope out every base in a test environment to make sure it's 100% afterwards and adjust the script accordingly.

Furthermore, I use chunks of loot spawn positions that other people have created and posted on these forums. In case it's useful for someone else, see below for what I use in tandem with the A3 building replacement script (note that I've added a couple of extra buildings to the replacement script so this might not fill everyone's needs but might be a big help). This also includes the locations for @Crazy Mike's Chernarus expanded areas so if you already have them, take that section out below.

For anyone not sure where to put this, it just needs to be pasted in the "cfgbuildings" section of your exile_server_config.pbo's config.cpp file. I personally put it at the top.

i ended up using the replacement script. BUT very sparingly, and only replaced buildings with enterable buildings that fit inside the radius so as to prevent as much clipping as possible, besides that my map is littered in neat shit so i didnt need to get all those extra altis buildings xD
