How to change AI to have Exile loadouts? InstaDoc, poptabs... etc.

14 posts in this topic

Hellooo. I am extremely new to the A3 editor, literally I've only just learned what it is, so please be gentle :)

I'm looking to place AI in 2 set locations that are high reward on my server, but within the A3 editor all AI seem to have default A3 loadouts, like MedKits instead of InstaDocs, tonnes of explosives, no food or poptabs...

So my question is, how can I edit these AI to have proper Exile loadouts? Is it something within the A3 editor, or an additional editor plugin I need, or something else... ??

Appreciate any help, thanks kindly.

Please specify what AI system you are using. If it's DMS with/without Occupation by second_coming I will help you:D

Edit: and specify what location do u want to place AI at)

You can use just DMS to create a static mission every server restart, I believe it already has one or two loaded up for you to copy, check the downloads and releases section to find it. Once it is downloaded look through the files to find the types of missions, disable the ones you don't want, and copy the static mission design when you go into 3DEN editor to create the area your AI will populate

Hi, thanks for helping. So I'm using DMS and Occupation, I looked into the configs for those and saw "Static AI", but I tried that and it didn't work. I followed the layout of the code so I'm fairly sure it's correct, but no static AI appeared :(

Where I'm trying to place them is, The Temple Ruins (11074, 8477) and a few small patrols on foot and vehicles on the west island which is a radiation zone for me, this is the coord's for the center of the rad zone (2189.14, 6975.07).

locations use 3 numbers [x,y,z] not just [x,y]

for your examples just replace :

https://github.com/secondcoming/a3_exile_occupation/blob/development/source/a3_exile_occupation/config.sqf#L100-L102

with

SC_staticBandits = [ [[11074, 8477,0],3,true], [[2189, 6975,0],3,true] ];

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I am indeed trying to use 3 number sets, but I must be doing something else wrong because the AI do not spawn. These are the coord's be exact:

Temple=[11068.7,8474.5,0.846878]]

Rad Zone=[3354.19,6625.81,0.00312424]] - [2578.39,7333.37,-0.00113297]] - [2265,8236.69,0.000617981]] and [1152.48,7619.21,-0.00181198]]

I tried it like this in the Occupation config:

//	Occupy Static Setup
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

SC_staticBandits  = [ //[[pos],ai count,radius,search buildings]
						[[11068.7,8474.5,217],10,250,true]
					];

at 217 high, they are probably falling to their deaths the instant they spawn. Set it to 0.

Ok so I tried this as you posted above, but Occupation broke and gave errors for every coordinate :(

This is exactly as I wrote it:

//	Occupy Static Setup

SC_staticBandits  	 = [		[[11068.7, 8474.5,0],10,true],
					[[3354.19, 6625.81,0],3,true],
					[[2578.39, 7333.37,0],4,true],
					[[2265.0, 8236.69,0],3,true],
					[[1152.48, 7619.21,0]],4,true]

			];
