Mission.pbo creating

Question

Hey there!

I am trying to setup a new server and i would like to create a new mission.pbo with a new map for it, but i just noticed, the old way to create a new mission.pbo for exile isnt working anymore, with some research i´ve found out there is a new way, but i just cant find a guid on how to do this anywhere...could some one give me a guid or a simple explanation? I am trying to learn everything step by step, so this would help a lot :D

What map are you creating a mission for?

Basically, you'll need spawn points, traders, lockers, and cement mixers.

Use the Exile EDEN addon to create the traders.

I am trying to create a mission for chernarus winter :D so i basicly just start up chernarus winter with all required addons, go into the editor with exile eden activated and create the old spawnpoint markers and savezone markes etc? what about the ghost players for spawn? how do i do these? or do i just copy them=?

That'll get you started.. Save it as mission.sqm and you'll have spawn points and two examples of how to manage trader markers. Next just use Exile EDEN to create the traders and output the initServer and initPlayerLocal files.

That'll get you started.. Save it as mission.sqm and you'll have spawn points and two examples of how to manage trader markers. Next just use Exile EDEN to create the traders and output the initServer and initPlayerLocal files.

Sorry for these noob questions, but i am really trying to understand this, not just getting it done :D  Should i start this mission.sqm with the editor ( exile eden enabled) and placer traders and everything else, and after that? How am i making sure it is starting up CHERNARUS WINTER? Can i skip the trader editing, i know how to do this :D, ? Do i have to change any other files in the Mission.pbo, or can i just swap the mission.sqm with this one and all will be fine?( appart from no traders on the map at this point)

Just trying to understand it all perfectly, so i dont run into too many problems anymore :D

This should do it..

  1. Create a folder, name it Exile.chernarus_winter.
  2. Download the server files from the top of each page ^^^ and locate the Exile.Altis mission PBO.
  3. Extract the files into your new Exile.chernarus_winter folder.
  4. Overwrite the mission.sqm with the one I shared.
  5. Delete the contents of initServer and initPlayer as you'll be creating new ones with Exile EDEN in the editor.
  6. Edit the $PREFIX$ file contents to Exile.chernarus_winter and save it (but make sure it is only one line long, no empty lines).
  7. PBO the Exile.chernarus_winter folder, add it to your mpmissions folder on your server, and try to run it.

You'll need Exile, Chernarus Winter, and CUP Core on the server and the client.

(I've updated my linked mission.sqm for you).

Use the two trader markers I've set in the mission PBO to show you how to configure your own, for wherever you want them to put them. :)

And then you'll need loot positions but we can get to that in a bit. lol

Loot positions can be a pain, so here you go..

Save that as chernarusLootBuildings.cpp in your exile_server_config/pbo and then in your exile_server_config/config.cpp, replace all of 

class CfgBuildings

Blah blah blah

};

with this:
