Tagging Loot As Permanent

Question

I'm working on a heli crash script and am wondering if it's possible to tag the loot in the weaponHolders created by it to not get cleaned up by your loot garbage collector? Also this would be a very helpful feature if not already implemented.

The garbage collector uses a time stamp to track when an entity was spawned. You could set that far into the future and it will not be removed. Keep in mind to clean up after your system manually :) 

_object setVariable ["ExileDiedAt", time + 999999];
