Arma 1.78/1.80 Bugs Megathread !! READ THE RULES!!

Please post any bugs you encounter with Arma 1.78/1.80 hotfix here.

RULES:

  1. When posting please include a server RPT and a client RPT (if possible).
  2. Please, please, please read the thread to see if your bug has already been posted. Duplicated bug reports will be removed.
  3. Do not shit post. The Mod Team will be handing out infractions for any and all shit posting.
  4. Check below for bugs we are already aware of.

BUGS WE ARE AWARE OF:

  • Battleye Port change: ( BattlEye traffic was moved to a separate game port (2306 by default) )
    • RCON can no longer be on 2306 (+4 from server port), you MUST change it!
      • Ports +0,+1,+2,+3 = 2302-2305 = Arma Server to Client Traffic
      • Port +4 = 2306 = Battleye
      • Port +5 or greater = Rcon
  • Error with ExileServer_system_garbageCollector_deleteObject (Unknown enum value: "MPKilled"): FIX HERE
  • Warning message about bone counts being wrong. This involves vehicles and weapons from Exile. 
  • Server crashing/not starting? Try removing -netlog from your start parameters. #BecauseArma
  • Error with ExileServer_object_construction_network_upgradeConstructionRequest (Unknown enum value: "CAN_COLIDE"): Change to "CAN_COLLIDE"
  • Error with ExileServer_system_event_ambientFlyOver_start (Unknown enum value: "PRIVATE"): Change to "FORM"

IF YOU WISH TO STAY ON OR ROLL BACK TO 1.76 SEE HERE:

  1. Right click Arma 3 in Steam.
  2. Go to properties.
  3. Beta tab.
  4. Enter the code "Arma3Legacy176".
  5. Check Code.
  6. Click close.
  7. Steam should revert back to / stay on Arma 3 1.76.

From what I can tell, BE port is now +4 from the game port if you are running multiple servers or running on a non-default port.

 

Example: game port = 2322 / BE port = 2326

Regarding the ExileServer_system_garbageCollector_deleteObject error, replace (on line 18 and 19 of this file)

_object removeAllEventHandlers "MPKilled";
_object removeAllEventHandlers "Damaged";

With

_object removeAllMPEventHandlers "MPKilled";
_object removeAllEventHandlers "Dammaged";

 

BIS has added enum checks on their commands that take strings, but they only appear when the script fires. So if y'all find more of these, let me know. 

EDIT: That isn't a spelling error, it really is "Dammaged".

only issue when joining the server for me would be meelee otherwise you can join ok as im the owner/admin some people have been getting kicked from there vehicles and kicked out of the server with a memory crash

Bug Description:

battleye failed to init(client kick)

managed to join locally just fine
Opened up all necessary ports but have no traffic on port 2306

Opened unnecessary 20 ports each way just to see if that helps

got a single packet on port 2314 every time when client joins

  • Once sending shutdown thru rcon or killing the arma3server.exe task in any other way (closing armaconsol window), the server crash on killing the task - did someone else experienced this behaviour or has any idea what could lead to that?

 BEServer: cannot find channel #2012129106, users.card=0

How to fix ?

We are debating the fix right now, whether one or both. Remove your RCON from 2306 and open ports 2302 to 2307, RCON being port 2307. Or leave your RCON as is and open ports 2302 to 2307.

Same problem here, I've got a Dedicated Server with the Game Port 2342, and I've changed the RCon Port 2346.

Still getting "BEServer: cannot find channel #1707071575, users.card=0" every time that someone joins.

Also tried disabling BE but started getting "Cannot Find Channel" errors for some of the players.

Just a question, but when you say BE Port, that is the Rcon Port in BEServer.cfg?

dont change the RCON port to xxx6. just open it for BE traffic! my gameport is 2302, rcon port is @ 2304 and everything works! the TRAFFICPORT (2xx6) MUST BE OPEN. thats the only difference
