Auto-run hotkey

Question

Is there any way to change the default hotkey (0) for auto-run? It's in a pretty awkward place on the keyboard.

well, it can be changed.  it is either in the server or client side.

 

server side would be an easy fix.  un-pbo the files and do a search for the ZERO key code.  then put in YOUR key code.

re-pbo, re-sign and done!

 

BUT, here is where the problems come in

if it was your server and you changed it, others would not know of it and would be hitting the ZERO key to run, and nothing happening - bad for business.

changing on the client side?  same method as above, BUT, EVERYBODY coming to your server would have to have YOUR version of the client side or they could not connect.

 

you would also have to 'sign' both of these as well.

 

you BEST bet is to leave this alone for now.

 

yes, it CAN be changed, but it is NOT worth all the problems that can come from it!

If it is server side change it and have a map marker as info on what the auto run key is or a because message

you can overwrite them with the config.cpp in the missionfile
