Exile PvE mode

6 posts in this topic

Is it thinkable you will give Exile a PvE mode where PvP elements like bounties or paid protection is disabled and players get -respect for killing players but +respect for killing AI? I think Exile will be one of the most favored mods for Arma3 and it would be great if you don´t forget the PvE enthusiasts 9_9

For PvE i think we need also some limitations like max. flag or (buyed) vehicle limit for players or bulding part limits for flags. Please do keep in mind :$

Most of those could be enforced by the server owner/admins. As for the amount of respect lost for killing players, it'seems configurable in the current settings. As well as the base pieces per flag.

The other stuff could possibly done from scripts?

You can alter the amounts of respect players get for killing... and we already implemented a system where our players get some respect for killing AI (Not nearly as much, because we are not a lame PvE server).

The basic functions in Exile already provides you with scores on player kills, which can be adjusted in @exile_server_config\config.cpp

        class Frags
        {
            bambi = 0;            // Bambi slayers
            friendlyFire = -0;    // For party members
            standard = 0;            // Normal kill
            humiliation = 0;        // Axe
            passenger = 0;        // Out of car/chopper/boat
            roadKill = 0;            //
        };

        class Bonus
        {
            // Bonus per full 100m
            per100mDistance = 0;

            // First blood after server restart
            firstBlood = 0;

            /*
                Example with killstreak = 50

                Frag  Factor   Bonus
                2    * 50      +100
                3    * 50      +150
                4    * 50      +200
                5    * 50      +250
            */
            killStreak = 0;

            // Kills within this amount of seconds stack (default: 2 minutes)
            killStreakTimeout = 120;
        };
    };

You can set your preferences here. The parameters here only specifies gain/loss for Players, and not AI.

Most of the AI frameworks in releases have point/respect gain upon AI kill.
