Talking About Performance

19 posts in this topic

I'm running a dedi server from soyoustart.io and i have no performance issues. Running one ArmA 3 server with 10 people on and quite modded only uses 10% of CPU and 500mb ram. The specs are Intel Xeon E3-1245 v2 @3.4ghz (4c,8t) 32gb ram. 2x2tbhdd 1gbps. Running Windows Server 2012 Datacenter Edition.

@nark0t1k

-cpuCount=8 -maxMem=4096  -enableHT -malloc=system

I don't actually know if theese work properly but they seem to work fine.

cpuCount and enable HT togheter :o

I think i find fix for my case

Forget to take SSD on new host *facepalm*

Then put a RamDisk for Arma 3 / Mysql

Work well for Mysql but make performance less for arma !

Here is the news benchmark

AI mission DMS

You only start to see a drop in server FPS over about 18-20 players it then gradually drops as the player count increases. At 70 players with a reasonably populated database (8000 constructions, 550 containers, 300 vehicles) I get between 8-15fps/cps on an i7 4790K @ 4.36GHz

Change your vehicle spawn to 1 for each 2200 and see if it gets any better.

I over clock in the bios and the cores are un-parked.

start "arma3" "arma3server.exe"
-port=2302 -cpuCount=6 -mod=@Exile; -serverMod=@Arma3Log;@Marma; -world=empty
"-cfg=cfg\basic.cfg" "-config=cfg\confignp.cfg" -bepath=C:\arma3exile\battleye
 -autoinit

I use these settings.

The -nosound -nosplash -enableHT -exThreads don't give more performance on dedicated servers.
Also the -loadMissionToMemory I'm pretty sure that is for non-persistent missions that wait for client to connect before starting.

The -maxMem shouldn't be used unless you are trying to throttle the server's maximum memory. From my experience servers will go over the limit you set and it only causes more harm to servers than anything. If you want to restrict memory usage then optimize your mission so that it only uses the memory within your amount.
