Characters not loading properly after joining again.

Question

Did a clean install, not a client problem. Does it with or without extra mods so it seems to be a bug with MySql or Exile.

Characters do their thing, leave, then when they rejoin (From server list or lobby) they appear on Makrynisi Island as a player-modelless entity whos view is on the ground (as if they were proned even though they are standing). Also nothing is spawned in the inventory along with player. Video or specific files can be uploaded if requested I have no clue which ones to bring in.

Something tells me you tried to overwrite the exile files or didn't import the exile.sql file correctly?

I am just guessing at why this is happening.

delete all, reload everything newly done.

Your issue is unique, as i have setup many servers with exile and its working good every time.

Could you send me a copy of Exile.sql? And maybe a link to a proper database setup?

Of course, the characters are created properly the first time, but something between saving and loading is errogenous.

It is, indeed, a peculiar glitch.

EDIT: Might be a problem with Extdb2 - looking into it.

Might be a problem with Extdb2 - looking into it.

Probaly not since this is an awesome extension. Could you please run the command

SELECT @@SQL_MODE, @@GLOBAL.SQL_MODE;

To be certain you don't have any strict modes enabled.

Its too late for that, I found  a thing that worked. I BELIEVE I had extDB2 in the wrong directory or something like that. Everything is working now; hopefully future bug-chasers find these posts useful.

Can you explain a little more of how you fixed this?  I am having this issue.

Sure thing!

Alright so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6grR2V1vN2U

Follow the guys tutorial, you dont have to use the CAT software, you can use HEIDI or whatever platform you want, usage is basically the same.

In the description he has a download.

You will (I believe he says) paste some of those into your root directory.

When you do do not overwrite the "%ServerRoot%\@Exileserver\addons\" folder with the downloaded files.

If you need more specific info just ask again or PM me.
