A player can't join my server anymore

7 posts in this topic

I have a user that was kicked and banned by Infistar because I had a script that added a scroll menu option and hadn't turned off the kicks/bans for that function. The server's been restarted since, and I've confirmed he's not in the ban list but now he's being kicked before he even gets to the lobby with the message that says something like "You were kicked from the server". There's no record of him connecting in the log because he never makes it that far. I don't know if this is Infistar doing this. Other people can join the server without a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

infi bans are in arma3 root folder (bans.txt).. So not the Battleye folder bans.txt

IMO ^^ is not the solution, since it will say BAN instead of kick. Just look to be sure.

That's just stupid to put that there. I found it and deleted all data from it.

If you call me stupid for doing that then I have to tell you that you are the stupid one :P

it is default Arma framework when using #exec ban and not by me ^_^

I didn't call you stupid, I called the location of the file stupid. That's not a folder I'd ever think to look in for a ban list and why can't the bans just be added to the bans.txt in the BattlEye folder? A mention of this file in the documentation would be advisable.

As I said, it is done like that from Arma, you can't choose where Arma writes that file & BE is a thirdparty :-/

It is much better to ban people with that than BE - FASTER! :)

#exec ban (name, ID or Player#)#exec ban nickName

#exec ban 47114712
#exec ban 3

Allows you to ban a player. Their ID will be added to the ban.txt
