PVP Markers

Hi All,

We run a PVE server (currently locked as it's being setup and tested). We wanted a zone (such as the southern island (south of drimea)) to be a PVP zone so that we can have some fights as well.

Is there any way to put a map marker covering the island to say that it's a PVP zone? Or any other clever ways of doing it?

I'll follow, I've been thinking about doing the same on my Exile server. 

I believe it should be possible by triggers. 

PvE Zone Trigger, should punish player if shooting someone from same faction. 
PvP Zone Trigger, deactivate punishment and reward for K/D or whatever. 

I think it's pretty easy to do, but I'm not the strongest with scripting yet :-)

Obviously, but surely it's better to script a actual PvP area, as I suggested if you shoot at somebody within PvE zone you should be punished, if you shoot somebody in the PvP, get rewarded, that makes most sense.

Can you confirm how to add the marker?
I've never done that before?

As ka0s says as well though, if a script could be done as described above, that would be awesome!

Un pbo exile mission, then put in documents /arma 3 / (the profile you are using )  then open it in editor. 

 

Go to markers, add markers,save, repack. Upload, profit

Here is the marker for the mafia trader:

            text = "Mafia Trader City";

            fillName = "SolidBorder";

        };

So, how would I make it so that the marker was big enough to cover the whole southern island? Is that the a and b values?

The A & B values here, is the size of the marker yes.
