Server autolock not working properly (0.9.41)

7 posts in this topic

Having the issue that player will bum rush the server every time it starts. even though I have setup in the   useAutoLock = 1;. I verified that the password in the Config.cpp, exile_server_confg.pbo and the BEServer.cfg all match.

Basically  this is whats on the Report (I picked a small one this time) Anyway we can get the call BEFORE Game started posting? ?

Spoiler

The server has to loadup the rcon details before it can lock, this delay allows players to join.

It cannot happen lock any sooner unless BIS give us a new command for server config to launch a server pre-locked.

Just look in BEC, there should be a config option in there.

Still the same though, it has to wait for the server to initialise first before issuing the lock command

Right, but most of the time even before the server fully sets up; BEC will issue the lock command.
BEC running on local will be the first one to connect before any person does; BEC will send the lock command and then allow normal players to connect after seconds, which is set in the config.
Either way, even when the server starts accepting connection it is still reading files and setting up the server.

On a busy evening we can see 30+ players get in before the lock, I tested it with Grim a few years back and we simply couldn't get it to happen sooner, either with command or BEC

It might be possible to use a DLL to call an extension to battleye without having to wait RCON.
