Ryans Zombies and loot on Cherno

Question

Hi guys, 

Hope you can give me some advice here, I have begun working on a server I implemented Ryan's Zombies on there and on Altis it worked like a charm. I have switched to Cherno now, I have ported everything over as I should I have checked and double checked before posting this. Thee Zombies do not spawn.

I have added custom spawn locations in the @ExileServer\addons\exilez\init\fn_init.sqf and nothing here's my locations

I have also done the same in C:\ExileRPG\MPMissions\Exile.chernarus_summer\ZOM\init.sqf, just to be sure. from what I can see in the rpt the ZOM\init.sqf is loading but for some reason its not running the whole generate_zone.sqf and the walk.sqf. Sorry for the stupid long post! I'm banging my head on the wall right now!...... Oh haha and I have no loot what so ever in the server. Please guys any advice you can throw at this would be a massive help! Thank you.

You dont need to bother about Ryans zeds yet, with current Arma state servers with zombies and more than a handful of players will crash the server... About the script i am  not sure tbh, you could read through CaptainJacks thread, im sure you will find an answer :

but like i said i would keep it on test server till its confirmed working fine.

@[OMG]Slim Thanks for your reply! I will continue to work on this as I said it worked fine on Altis! I don't get what else it could be other then the spawn location or the spawner script not talking to the server correctly! If I find a fix ill post it up on here.

It's still in development so just me and 4 others at the time. I had no lag spikes and the server ran well I was watching it around 45 FPS. The only time I noticed a crash on the server was when I moved over the AllInArma files which I fixed by moving out chernarus_summer.wrp its a 90 ish MB file the server was calling.

So from what I can tell, the first problem is that you are running both the server-side script (by putting spawners in your   @ExileServer\addons\exilez\init\fn_init.sqf) and also the client side script ( C:\ExileRPG\MPMissions\Exile.chernarus_summer\ZOM\init.sqf)

If you are using the server-side script, you do not need to run the client side script. Remove it. You will need to remove the ZOM folder as well as remove any references to it in your mission's config.cpp, description.ext, and init.sqf. 

I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, but it's a start. 

 

 

EDIT: Also, as a side note, if you have a few players on the server, ryanzombies will be fine. The idea that ryanzombies causes crashes is misinformation. Ryanzombies specifically does not CAUSE your server to crash. It's any AI when you have too many spawned. My headless client that runs FuMS crashes sometimes, and that server doesn't even have zombies. My Zombie server however, never crashes. So it's not zombies fault. It's AI in general.

@papahyooie okay! you legend! yeah its spawning them now, I have to change the fn_init.sqf to spawn more but other then that its working.

My next issue is loot and the lack of it! there zero loot spawning, I have vehicles but nothing else.

Awesome. Post up another rpt, and we will see what it looks like after doing that fix. 

Also, did you use a mission file made for cherno or did you just reuse the altis one, or make one yourself with the editor?

And one more thing, post up your \@ExileServer\addons\exile_server_config\config.cpp

I don't see anything jumping out... Unfortunately I don't have any experience with CUP terrain, so I'm not really certain on what direction to look. What about the two questions I added to my last post? (sorry, edited it a few minutes after I posted it.)
