  2. This is a guide geared for all server owners new and semi experienced. There is material dedicated just for hosting servers as well as more advance material for all server owners. There is also a detailed explanation of the infiSTAR AntiHack and Admin Tools installation. I made this guide to hopefully decrease the amount of "I'm Stuck" post on the forums. If you think I should change or add something let me know. There will be additions in the future. The instructions on installing infiSTAR AntiHack and AdminTools starts on page 17 of the guide. Server Owner Guide v2.0 READ THE GUIDE BEFORE CONTACTING ME. If you need help with something, I will provide assistance. However, don't contact me with a question that I covered in my guide. Also, set up a Altis server before you try to tackle a map like Chenarus. Note: The links that send you to pages inside of the guide itself don't work unless you download the guide. 5. hi guys one of my friends had problems adding custom billboards to his server but he figured it out then he gave me a guide on how to do it. he also said i should put it up on the exile forums to help people coz he knows how much of a pain it can be. So here it is: file_1 = name that will be given to billboard in admin menu file_2 = name of the image to be loaded in (EXAMPLE) just say that my image is in a folder called image_file and image_file is in a folder called billboards then: {"file_1","billboards\image_file\file_2.paa"} but remember if there is a space between words then use an underscore_ you will need to edit your infistar file aswell and all you need to do for that part is: download and unpack your infistar file then look for the file called EXILE_AHAT_CONFIG.hpp and then look for these {"Doggy","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_21dmd_co.paa"}, {"Spawny","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_spawny_co.paa"}, {"Dickbutt","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_misc_dickbutt_co.paa"}, {"Vish","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_vish_co.paa"} thats when you add {"file_1","billboards\image_file\file_2.paa"} to the preset ones like this: {"Doggy","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_21dmd_co.paa"}, {"Spawny","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_spawny_co.paa"}, {"Dickbutt","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_misc_dickbutt_co.paa"}, {"Vish","exile_assets\texture\flag\flag_mate_vish_co.paa"}, {"file_1","billboards\image_file\file_2.paa"} now repack your infistar file and upload to your server P.S you will need to upload the image to your server aswell thats why the top part of the guide is there your image will also need to be .paa

    Linux Server Installation Guide

Hi, because I could not find a linux server installation tutorial, I decided to document my own steps I've done. I installed an exile server on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS minimal version. First of all if you use a minimal version of Ubuntu you have to install some useful tolls like: VIM, wget, unzip and so on. Install arma on your server. For this i used this tutorial: TutorialAfter that you can test your server with a vanilla arma gameplay mode. Now we download and unzip the Exile mod: Change your directory to the Arma root directorycd ~/steamcmd/arma3/ Download the Exile Server and the Exile Mod wget http://www.exilemod.com/download/@ExileServer-0.9.20b.zip wget http://swcdn.launcher.eu/a3launcher/@Exile-0.9.20.zip Unzip both of them unzip \@ExileServer-0.9.20b.zip -d tmpserver unzip \@Exile-0.9.20.zip -d tmpclient Change directory cd tmpserver Move the content to the arma root dorectory mv MySQL/ ~/steamcmd/arma3/MySQL/ cd Arma\ 3\ Server mv \@ExileServer/ ~/steamcmd/arma3/\@exileserver/ mv battleye/* ~/steamcmd/arma3/battleye/ mv keys/* ~/steamcmd/arma3/keys/ mv mpmissions/* ~/steamcmd/arma3/mpmissions/ mv tbb.dll ~/steamcmd/arma3/ mv tbbmalloc.dll ~/steamcmd/arma3/ cd ~/steamcmd/arma3/tmpclient mv \@Exile/ ~/steamcmd/arma3/\@exile/ Now it's time to install MySQL I recommend use this tutorial: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/MYSQL Start MySQL and create exile Databasemysql -u root -p create database if not exists exile; create user 'exile'@'localhost' identified by 'password'; grant all privileges on exile.* to 'exile'@'localhost'; flush privileges; source /home/steam/steamcmd/arma3/MySQL/exile.sql Now we configure the exile DB cd ~/steamcmd/arma3/\@exileserver/ vim extdb-conf.ini At the bottom set the user name and passwords appropriately. now you have to download the extDB2.so extDB2-v65.rar I used filezilla to copy this file to the @ExileServer folder. You finde this file at /Linux/@extDB2/ Then test this file. (Thanks to K3nG9LoL) cd ~/server/arma3/@exileserver ldd extDB2.so It should look like this Linux-gate.so. 1 (0xf77b6000) libtbbmalloc.so. 2 => /usr/lib/libtbbmalloc.so.2 (0xf6cef000) libdl.so. 2 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2 (0xf6cea000) libm.so.6. 6 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libm.so.6 (0xf6ca6000) libpthread.so. 0 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xf6c8b000) libc.so.6. 6 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xf6ad9000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf77b7000) LibRT.so.1. 1 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/librt.so.1 (0xf6ad0000)If its looks about as Linux-gate.so. 1 (0xf77b6000) libtbbmalloc.so. 2 => not found libdl.so. 2 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2 (0xf6cea000) libm.so.6. 6 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libm.so.6 (0xf6ca6000) libpthread.so. 0 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xf6c8b000) libc.so.6. 6 => not found /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf77b7000) LibRT.so.1. 1 => /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/librt.so.1 (0xf6ad0000)you have to install some libraries dpkg --add-architecture i386 apt-get update apt-get install libc6 tmux lib32gcc1 libtbb2 lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6 libtbb2:i386 Now you have to configure your server mv ~/steamcmd/arma3/\@exileserver/config.cfg ~/steamcmd/arma3/ cd ~/steamcmd/arma3/ vim config.cfg You have to change hostename, password, passwordAdmin, serverCommandPassword remember that passwordAdmin and serverCommandPassword should not be the same Now you can start the server with those parameters: ./arma3server -config=config.cfg -mod=@exile -servermod=@exileserver -autoinit > stdout.log 2> stderr.log &This will start the Server with the exile mod, load the config from config.cfg, automatically start the mission and send the console output to stdout.log and stderr.log files If something not dosen't work or you have any problems or suggestions, how to do it better feel free to contact me or post it below I hope this is helps you to setup your own Exile Server on Linux
  8. Hey guys as promised i will share my knowledge on how to install BEC Battleye Extended Controls. 1. You want to download bec at www.ibattle.org 2. Chose a folder to put bec, it may be any locations it does not matter (try to make it a separate folder then your arma server) 3. Setting up the bat files (restartserver.bat, servermonitor.bat,stopserver.bat) copy paste and name these bat files as shown in the brackets. Make sure to edit these accordingly to match your locations. restartserver.bat servermonitor.bat stopserver.bat 4. In the bec folder that you just created locate the config.cfg which is found in the config folder of bec and open it with notepad++ and edit the following highlited areas to fit your need. 5. Edit or create a Scheduler.xml file in the config folder of the bec folder. This one here is based on a 6 hour restart. Change the info in this file to sooth your needs especially the location to the stopserver.bat at the bottom. Scheduler.xml 6. Make sure that you have beserver.cfg set up in the battleye folder that the server uses. Some use the SC folder and others use the battleye folder, in this case it is the SC folder. BEServer.cfg So that pretty much sums it up. With this set up you will have server messages and auto restarts. There might be a couple tweeks her and there as i am not perfect but this really works well. You will notice that there are multiple startserver.bat windows that will multiply on your desktop, its no big deal i have not yet figured out how to make there only be one. ENJOY IMPORTANT i suggest that you go to your exile_server_config and edit the following!!! It is not a need but you don't need this turned on as you have already a auto restart set up, and why risk having both interfere with one another.

    GTX Gaming Guide

GTX Gaming Exile servers are tailored for all types of server owners. For the newer server owner they are fairly simple to get started. When you purchase a GTX server it comes with Exile mod already installed and functioning a owner simply has to customize to his/her liking. I myself am a semi experienced server owner and I choose GTX not for their simplicity, but for the features they offer. Below is a list of features available at no extra cost: 1. G2 Control Panel with "one click" install mods (must request by ticket) 2. Automatic BattlEye exception generator (script.txt) 3. Automatic Pbo Replacer (executed on server restarts) 4. A3Launcher, HLSW, mARMA, and Game Tracker support Now to the guide. I made a guide previously for other hosting companies using the TCA control panel. Due to GTX custom control panel, I have tailored a new guide using their panel. I think I covered most of the areas needed to get started, but if you want something added please let me know. Also, if you do decide to go with GTX Gaming message @Rui Pedro and he will get you set up with the G2 Control Panel that they offer. GTX Gaming Server Owner Guide v1.0

All in Arma or CUP help needed.

I have a server, I am new to this and am learning as I go. I have read a guide on how to install a server. It wasn't totally relevant as I am paying for a host. I found out information I needed to change the map from altis to taviana. I understand I need to install Taviana via AllinArma terrain pack however, when I went to get it I discovered 3 things. All in Arma is obsolete and CUP should be used. Taviana is not listed as a map in either All in Arma or CUP. I do not know where I should add the files to my server. Add to this I am not 100% sure what I should be doing with the files. Right now I think I should be creating a mission file with Taviana (don't know how), turning that into a Exile.Taviana.pbo, I assume using arma tools like I did with the exile_server_config.pbo and adding it to the mpmissions folder but the config I created isn't working to spawn me with the gear I have stated. Is there someone who is willing to point me in the right direction. I want to learn to do this so I am not asking someone to do it for me, I just think I am having an overload of information.
  15. This is a short tutorial on how to fix BattlEye filters. Scripts.log Example: First find what type of error it was. For example, if it says: Defent (X) XX - #43 "To _playerUID)exitWith { _playerObject = _x; }; } forEach allPlayers; _playerObject"You simply put a \ infront of every ". So a backslash before every quotation mark. Then you put \n where the there is a new row. Backslash n. So it would look like this: "To _playerUID)exitWith \n{ \n_playerObject = _x; \n}; \n} \nforEach allPlayers; \n_playerObject\"As you can see here, I have removed my nickname, my single X which represents my IP and the XX that represents my GUID. Now when you've done it like this, we can format it abit to make it look neater and easier to read. Then it would look like this: !="To playerUID)exitWith\n{\n_playerObject = x;\n};\n} \nforEach allPlayers;\n_playerObject"Notice how I have added != in front of the first quotation mark. This is to make this line of code an exception and make it so that it does not kick you. How to add it to Scripts.txt As you may have noticed, when being kicked a number is mentioned. #43 in this case. This represents the line of code you need to edit inside the scripts.txt. However if you use the latest BattlEye filters you will have to add +2 to #43. Meaning that you will have to modify line #45! Now open scripts.txt, find line #45 and add the exception we made above to the end of that line! CreateVehicle.log Example: Defent (X) XXX - #0 "R_TBG32V_F" 16:102 2:2956 Exile_Unit_Player [13757,19530,23] [-26,137,5]As you can see here, I got kicked for trying to spawn an item that was not whitelisted. To white list this I would simply take the item within the quotation marks and do: !="R_TBG32V_F"Then open createVehicle.txt and add that to line number #2! Becase we apply the same logic here if we use new BattlEye filters. #0 + 2 = 2! How do I know if I use new filters? Quite simple, if the .txt file contains this on line 1 then it is new. //new Footnote and another example: As an example from the other thread here: #58 "line 1 "mpmissions\__CUR_MP.Altis\VEMFclient\fn_vemfClientInit.sqf" if (isServer) then { uiNamespace setVariable ["vemfClientMsg"You will have to add another quotation mark " infront and in the end of the restriction message: !=""\mpmissions\__CUR_MP.Altis\VEMFclient\fn_vemfClientInit.sqf\" \nif (isServer) then {\nuiNamespace setVariable ["vemfClientMsg\"" How do I apply my changes? It's simple. You save the file and you DO NOT HAVE TO RESTART your server. You can simply open the rcon tool of your choice and click "Refresh Scripts". This will refresh the scripts.txt file and the exceptions will be added. All done neatly and fast! No problems here. Any suggestions or pointers is appreciated. You can also post your error here and maybe some kind soul will help you with adding it as an exception.
