  1. I am trying to integrate Alias monsoon script into my exile survival server. In normal scenario the script creator asks to place the script folder in mpmission folder and call the monsoon script in init.sqf with null = [100,920,true,true,true,true,true,1] execvm "AL_monsoon\al_monsoon.sqf"; to invoke the monsoon weather for 920 seconds (one of the parameters). But, I would like to call this script lets say every 30 minutes or 1 hour in a scheduled way (or even better a bit randomly) so that all the players on the server can enjoy the immersive monsoon rain every now and then. I thought I should integrate this as a system event (@exileserver/addons/code and preinit.sqf) and create a new event class in config.cpp just like the AmbientFlyOver is structured. But, it didn't really work. Am I going the right direction or is there even a simpler / better way to call this script every now and then so people can be immersed in monsoon rain on my server ? @aussie battler Perhaps you can shed some light ?
  2. PTWS Persistent Time and Weather System PTWS is a script that I made for my Exile server that I host for some friends that allows time and weather to persist through server restarts. It also has seasons defined by months that will change the temperature. Download Source Features: Persistent time (year, month, day, hour, minute) Time accleration Persistent weather NEW Dynamic weather (thanks to code34's Real weather) NEW Seasons that change the temperature NEW Snow based on temperature and current overcast NEW To-do List: Add Persistent weather Configure seasons based on months Make the seasons affect more than the temperature ???? Bugs: A script error occurs after every restart when PTWS is checking for the database entry, not sure why. Future: Afterword: Credits: @second_coming - I used his occupation mod as an example for some of the settings and debug. I also used his config settings for the time acceleration. @WolfkillArcadia - Thanks for the helpful tips, I was able to clean the code a good amount thanks to that. @code34 - The creator of Real Weather, I'm using his script for the dynamic weather.

SERVER FEATURES [Required Addons + Connection Info Below]: Step back in time to those nostalgic moments of Arma 2 DayZ Overpoch and relive the glory days on Napf Island. Zombies. Lots of zombies (but not tooo many). We've brought back zombies to get that classic DayZ vibe. RHSAFRF and RHSUSAF are on the server. Play around with cold war and modern vehicles, weapons, and uniforms. Completely custom traders and trader cities. We have devoted a lot of time to ensure that our traders and trader cities have a realistic feel. After all, there's been a war and apocalypse, so expect some sketchy looking places. Completely custom DMS missions. Our AI missions are challenging but rewarding - with up to three running at a time, even during low population periods you will have no problem finding a fight (if you so desire). Custom survivor camps with loot spread across the map. Carry a radio on you near the north-east part of the map for a surprise - soon Random lootable heli and car crashes. Persistent vehicles across the map. Worry no longer about finding an awesome vehicle and putting all of your gear into it only to find it gone when you log in the next day. Non-persistent vehicles that spawn at missions can be claimed by using a codelock. Persistent time and weather. 4 hour days and two hour nights with varying weather. Let's just say you don't wanna be playing this alone at night. Revive scripts. Get chomped on by a zombie, or shot by a bandit? If one of your "friends" are carrying a CPR medkit, they can bring you back from the dead! If they're not carrying one, are they really your friend? Discord integration. You can manage your territory and get notifications from our Discord server. Link to join below. Getting chased by zombies or disgruntled survivors? Climb over a wall, or onto a roof and escape them using Enhanced Movement! Alternatively, if you're stuck on a roof and have rope, repel down! Escape never looked so easy. Spot a sweet vehicle but you're already in one? Tow it or lift it back to base and keep it. It's yours now. Hacking and grinding are viable options, but take a while to complete. Make sure you bring some friends to cover your derrière. Automatic restarts every six hours with warnings (All times EST: 12am, 6am, 12pm, 6pm) ensure everything is running like a well oiled machine. InfiSTAR antihack. To keep the experience fun and makes helping players much easier. Optional acceptable addons are available in our Workshop Collection [below] for an enhanced experience. Ambient DayZ music [currently being worked on, not yet available], advanced towing, airlifting, & repelling, Blastcore edited, and JSRS sound mod.   4. I'm running the latest Arma3 and ChernasrusRedux. along with ExtDB3 and RyansZombies. That's it so far. But I'm getting this error in my server.rpt: I've checked all the override and cfg files (and some of the core server files) but cannot find an expression even close to that referenced. I'm guessing the formula is missing a parenthesis. Anyone have any idea which file may be throwing the error?

    ZCP Trigger Weather?

    Hey all, I made a pretty custom ZCP and was hoping there was a way to create a thunderstorm for this particular one. Its just bigger, has more time, and spawns more AI. I wanted to shift the server weather when its up to draw further attention to it. I tried a few things with my limited knowledge but no luck. Any help would be wonderful, thanks!

    Set Starting Weather Before Dynamic

    Hey all, Just wanted to know if someone could tell me where and how to set starting weather before the changes kick in every 30 minutes. I essentially want the server to start sunny/clear and after that whatever it changes to is fine. I do not want to rule out storms and things, I just want to start clear every time. Hope someone has a solution, thanks in advance.

    restart temperature chernarus

    Hey is there a way to modify the restart temperature of my chernarus server. After every restart the body temp is 0.5°Celsius so i get hurt every time.     Weather settings nul since update

    Not sure if anyone else has notice this (as their focus is likely elsewhere since the update), but has anyone notice their weather settings not being taken into account? In terms of overcast/sunny/thunderstorm it works fine, but the definitions of each type of weather. My settings are below (and haven't changed since the update). As you can see, the wind is 0 as it was killing parachuters. Now it just blows as it pleases (insert dirty joke here).

    Set time&weather

    Hello there! After 2 days of looking for answer and wondering why it doesn't work, I decided to create this topic. I've managed to install, configure and start a server on my desktop, but the problem is I'm trying to create a zombie apocalypse server for me and my friends. For that I want nice, dark weather (fog, maybe rain and thunders) and to set time to mdinight. I read all the topics on this forum and have no clue, why it doesn't work. I have modified config.cpp in @Exileserver folder so it looks like this: Left only thunderstorm keyframe and set time to midnight. It's always 3:30 pm on my server! And the weather is totally random, once it's sunny and after restart it's cloudy and rainy. Can you help me with that? I saw time.sqf script, but I don't need to multiply my time, I just want it dark and scary! Thanks, Mark.

I have changed nothing that i know of, and here is my weather keyframes and settings. I have looked at the keyframe BIKI - everything looks right. I have also copied the <spoiler> info from a server that has no errors in the RPT. I'm just hoping someone might see where its incorrect. Thanks!

    Improved time script

    Hi, I've modified ExileServer_system_weather_initialize.sqf and the Time class from Exile_Server\config.cpp The goal was to be able to use a static date or a static time independently and also to allow time zone adjustments. In the process I've removed useRealTime because it was redundant since useStaticTime is the opposite. I've also integrated a parameter to set a time shift that can be used with real time to push the night a little later. New Time Class : class Time { // Use a static server start time instead of the server UTC time. useStaticTime = 0; // Use a static server start date instead of the server UTC date. useStaticDate = 0; //Time Zone adjustment in hours.   19. Newbie scripting question here, all advice is welcome. A friend wants fog to appear in his Exile server during certain hours. Been playing around in the editor and this seems to work: _date = date; // If it's after 9pm, roll in fog over 60 seconds. if (date select 3 >= 21) then { 60 setFog [1, 0, 0]; } // If it's after 9am then clear the fog. else if (date select 3 >= 9) then { 60 setFog [0, 0, 0]; }; How would be the best way to implement this into Exile? Save as customFog.sqf, and add: execVM "scripts\customFog.sqf"; to our init.sqf would load the script but, as far as I'm aware, only check the time once. So how do we keep checking without affecting performance? Thanks. UPDATE: Had a thought, could we use waitUntil ? // Would add the fog at 9pm but never clear it? waitUntil {date select 3 >= 21} { // Draw fog code } // Clear it? waitUntil {date select 3 >= 9} { // Clear fog code } Would that work?
