You could look at increasing the size of the safezone around that trader? I'm not sure which ones it falls under but edit the mission.sqm to make it larger.

This is an example, I don't know if this is the right trader.

Ok, I'll give it a try. Curiosity, why would the radius size make a difference??

Because the it's the radius of the safezone; you might find the waste trader is just on the edge and as such it gets disabled.

Ok, so I expanded the radius to 120 and it didn't help. I also tested whether players could shoot into the waste dumps, and sure enough both AI and players can shoot into the waste dump safe zones, but the player inside the zone can not shoot :(

Are you sure the waste dumps are in safezones then? Or is it just the icon on the map?

Sorry, fairly new to modding Exile/ARMA. How can I tell if this is the case???

I mean I assume so because the "Welcome to the safe zone" message pops up and players can't shoot while in that zone, the issue is just that things outside the safe zone can shoot in o.O
