SITUATION

The development team is now in the final stages of preparing Update 1.68 for its release. At the moment, we're still polishing some things, and testing the update in a multiplayer environment. Aside from that, we're also investigating reports of crashes on 32-bit clients. Once we have all the last fixes ready and confirmed by our Quality Assurance department, we hope to release the update some time next week.

Thanks for the post @Hakimos..... I'll be putting some time aside towards the end of next week to deal with the inevitable fallout. On a plus side though, the 64-bit client is almost here.

64 bit client connects and plays fine on 32 bit server.
Arma 3 server exe never really uses over 2.5gb anyway, having an additional ram pool available will make no difference to server performance.
All gains will be got from 64 bit client

Are server owners forced to use 64 bit server version? Does it make any performance difference if you use 32 bit or 64 bit server?

our taunus server is running with the RC build quite well for some time (server in 32bit / client in 64bit / no fps bug...:D

we experienced the following two major bugs:

- something went wrong with the simulation (exile doors and custom set buildings didnt get the open/close animation)

- a random error while writing the hitpoints in the database and the player cant connect to the server

hopefully thats it... :$

cheers!
