Spin Khan

debug console

Question

First time at this, 25 yr software engineer.

Ok, plain vanilla Exile installed, now I'm just trying to figure out how to admin it...  I can't walk everywhere but the debug console is hidden.  Fixed that, but now it appears it doesn't work.  So... how do I admin my server?

Thanks.

yeah, apparently I have to buy that.  And while I just might eventually, right now I just want to play vanilla....

So not a valid answer, exile shouldn't be making me purchase something else in order to admin myself!

Thanks for playing!

And there's no reason to be a dick to people who offer their opinions on admin menus.

You're welcome. Thanks for playing.

Thanks, I'll look into those.  I figured there had to be some established methods.

And I wasn't being a dick... dick!  Check yourself.

$BlacklistMember = Get-Username | Where-Object {$_.ExilemodUser $Post -LT -and $post -has "Dick"}

Set-Blacklisted -Username "$BlacklistMember"

Could not resist.

in your server.cfg/config.cfg if you have

passwordAdmin = "xyz"; // Password to become server admin. When you're in Arma MP and connected to the server, type '#login xyz'
serverCommandPassword = "xyzxyz"; // Password required by alternate syntax of [[serverCommand]] server-side scripting.

you can use #login yourpassword then you should have the debug console to do things.

make sure in your description.ext

disableChannels[] = {0, 2};

0 = Global
1 = Side
2 = Command
3 = Group
4 = Vehicle
5 = Direct
6 = System

So get rid of 2

disableChannels[] = {0};

and this may allow more options

also

enableDebugConsole = 0;

change to

enableDebugConsole = 1;

refer to

https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Description.ext

and

infistar.de

There is a admin tool kit here ..  and welcome to this mess :)      dont buy a tool that cost 3 times the amount of the game like the rippoffs of Infistar  ..  and if you switch mod then your admin tool is useless .

instead of beeing nice to  somebody with some skills they rather burn you down after you just asked a normal question ..  :)   well we all know how it go's  ...

Good luck with your new server :)
