Correct @Modname from Steam Workshop

In the past I installed only mods which had definite modnames.
Some steam workshop mod folders are only named with numbers, so I wonder how I'm supposed to know the correct @modname I have to add to the commandline.
I assumed that I have to change the folder to the name mentioned in the meta.cpp of the mod and the mod seems to load correctly if I do so.
But I'm a bit confused about the fact that it doesn't show up in the game menue mod list of Arma.
So what is the correct way in the end to install such mods server sided...?
