Server Disconnects User While Attempting To Create Bambi Player

Question

Hello!

I've just struggled for a few hours now just to get a Exile server up and running, finally it has started! Once I connect to the server it prompts me to select a spawn location, I select one and then it sits at "Requesting Bambi Character..." and proceeds to disconnect me after about 15 seconds.

This is a log of the TADST monitor https://pastebin.com/2ABteECP

I also do recieve a error on join too: https://gyazo.com/8f58a554098a62259c7fbdbf4cbaca06

All help appreciated -Modern_Mo

The bambi creation issue is almost surely that your MySQL mode in your My.ini file contains a strict_mode Setting.

The other error about bones is "normal"" and will be fixed in the next version of exile.

To correct the bambi creation:

  1. Open a file explorer window.
  2. Type in the address bar %Programdata%Mysql.jpg
  3. Open the MySQL folderMysql1.jpg
  4. Open the MySql.ini fileMysql2.jpg
  5. search for sql-mode=Mysql3.jpg
  6. replace that entire line with sql-mode="NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"
  7. RESTART your MySQL server service in Windows
    1. Open Task manager
    2. Click the "services" tab
    3. find the MySQL service (yours will be named differently. Probably MySQL_57 or something like that.
    4. Right click the service and choose restartMysql4.jpg

I hope this explanation will set you up for success.

If you need further assistance since you JUST started today, Please see my Youtube channel tutorials. This was covered in my videos.

PS - TADST is a real pain in the ass. I would suggest using a SIMPLE bat file.

I've been using a batch file as shown in the video (with a few minor changes) for years, on multiple servers - going all the way back to the earlier A2 days.   It's been flawless and hasn't missed a beat, errr... restart!

Same here @Bob_the_K It's amazing to me how many threads are using this same format.

There is also so many that make it so incredibly hard with config files and variables that confuse the shit out of anyone new to them.

Thanks for supporting my suggestion.

Thank you very much for your assistance! I did see your tutorial video's at first, but was steered away due to the low quality video settings making it hard to read, other then that they were exceptional!
